DOCKER VPS

Docker VPS hosting for your container projects

Compare Docker VPS hosting by CPU, RAM, storage and Linux setup. Choose compatible Docker preparation and backups, then pay in crypto for at least three months.

Choose a Linux VPS for the containers, persistent data and supporting processes your project needs. Compare the current CPU, memory, storage and transfer specifications, then review the operating system and Docker preparation options.

A Docker profile records the environment requested for delivery. Plan application deployment, maintenance and recovery alongside the hosting configuration, and review the server quote before paying in crypto.

How much RAM does a Docker Compose VPS need?

List the application containers, database, cache, workers and scheduled jobs that share the server. Include the Linux host and maintenance tasks. Builds, image extraction, imports and backups can create peaks beyond ordinary application use, so include those tasks in the resource inventory.

Compare measured CPU and memory use with the plan specifications when moving an existing workload. For a new project, begin with software requirements and a test deployment. A vCPU count is a resource specification, not an application benchmark or a guarantee of requests per second.

There is no single RAM requirement for Docker Compose: the services described in the project determine memory use. Add the application, database and workers, allow for the host, then measure peaks when maintenance jobs overlap. Resource limits on individual containers are controls to test, not a substitute for a capacity measurement.

Choose a compatible Linux and Docker preparation

The VPS configurator offers Ubuntu 24.04 LTS, Debian 12 and AlmaLinux 9. Check the installation guidance for your intended Docker version, application images and CPU architecture against the selected environment. Choose Docker as the initial preparation profile when that is the environment you want delivered.

Review panel choices separately. HestiaCP requires a clean Ubuntu or Debian system and cannot be combined with the preinstalled Docker or Nginx profile in the current configurator. Cockpit is a server administration interface; selecting it alone does not establish a Docker container dashboard.

Account for images, logs and persistent volumes

Disk space is shared by the host system, container images, writable layers, logs and persistent application data. Include image versions retained for rollback and working space for upgrades. Compare these needs with base storage and any additional storage selected in the quote.

Persist databases and uploads deliberately rather than relying on a disposable container’s writable layer. A volume preserves data outside that container’s lifecycle, but it is not an independent backup. Plan cleanup and growth monitoring without removing data the application still needs.

Plan storage growth and maintenance space

Plan ports, access and application maintenance

Decide which services need public access and which should remain internal to the application stack. Review Docker’s port publishing and firewall behaviour before exposing a database or administration interface. Assign responsibility for ingress, secrets, certificates and access recovery.

The Docker preparation preference does not deploy your application, maintain its images or create a managed-container service. Keep deployment configuration reproducible, check updates in an appropriate environment and document rollback. Use the Linux VPS family page when your main requirement is broader server selection rather than container preparation.

Prepare Docker networking and repeatable deployment

Make container data recoverable

Include persistent volumes, database exports and deployment configuration in the recovery inventory. Protect secret values separately and record how services will be started after restoration. A copied live database directory may not provide a consistent restore; use the application’s supported backup process.

Optional weekly or daily hosting backups are available in the configurator. Choose the schedule alongside the application’s recovery requirements, keep an independent copy and test restoration. Rebuilding a container from its image restores application code; it does not recreate missing orders, uploads or other persistent records.

Plan application and server recovery

Order the configuration and track delivery

Choose a three-, six- or twelve-month period and review the OS, Docker preparation, compatible panel and optional extras together. New orders and renewals have a three-month minimum. The returned quotation gives the selected configuration and full-period amount before a crypto invoice is created.

Pay using the invoice’s exact asset, network and amount. Payment confirmation and server delivery have separate statuses; access details and completed preparation belong to the delivered service. Once it is available, validate the environment before deploying the stack and exposing it to users.

Your questions

Does a Docker VPS use different plans from Linux VPS hosting?

It uses the same VPS family with Docker selected as a preparation preference. Compare the current CPU, memory, storage and transfer specifications, then choose the available OS and compatible options for your project.

Can I combine Docker preparation with HestiaCP?

The current HestiaCP option requires a clean Ubuntu 24.04 or Debian 12 system. It is unavailable with the preinstalled Docker or Nginx preparation profile. Review compatible panel and profile choices in the configurator.

Is application deployment or ongoing container management included?

The preparation preference describes the initial environment requested for delivery. You plan application deployment, image updates, networking, secrets and recovery. It does not establish a managed-container service or an automatically deployed application.

How is Docker VPS hosting billed?

Choose three, six or twelve months; new orders and renewals have a three-month minimum. Review the full-period quote and optional extras, then choose an available crypto method and follow the invoice’s asset, network and exact amount.
